SCREWED relates to how it feels to be human sometimes. One feels innocent like a child playing with blocks and then something happens that feels totally unfair - almost like getting the wind knocked out of you or getting stabbed in the back. Despite all this we stand tall and do our best . There will be better days... BEET SEAT is the listening ear or in this case, beet, along for the ride. He's ready to support and encourage. They're made from a vintage child's block, parts of old furniture, a large wooden screw, a doll house chair, toy top, hardware, paint and lots of understanding and love.

Multidisciplinary artist Janet Orselli creates sculpture and assemblage, drawings, collage and site-specific installations. She’s had over fifteen solo exhibitions, including OK Harris Works of Art, New York City, Gibbes Museum of Art, Charleston SC. Orselli has shown in numerous group exhibitions both regionally and nationally. She was awarded a national Pollock-Krasner Foundation Fellowship and three North Carolina Regional Artist Project Grants. In 2018 she was selected as the Artist-in-Residence at 701 Center for Contemporary Art, Columbia, SC where she completed a body of work for a solo exhibition. A recipient of an MFA degree from Clemson University, Orselli teaches drawing and lives in Columbus NC.
