Sarah Catherine Firth is a Melbourne based artist well known for her comics, animations and kinetic sculpture. Recent achievements include a sculpture commission funded by Experimenta Media Arts, winning the Solander Gallery Prize, and having her kinetic sculpture work The Blacking selected for 25/25: Australia's top 25 artists aged 25 and under. She also received the Nigel Thompson Traveling Scholarship to participate in an art symposium on Palau Ubin Island and in Singapore. In 2010 her animation work SELF was selected and shown at the National Portrait Gallery and she exhibited her new kinetic sculpture Creepy Groper as part of the Reflex - Kinetic Poetry show at Gaffa Gallery in Sydney.
