About The Artwork
The idea for the trilogy (Dog, Pig, Sheep) came from my favorite Pink Floyd album, Animals. The album is conceptual, and even more than 40 years old, it sends some powerful messages that still apply. Album criticizes capitalism, while my trilogy criticizes consumerism. Sheep symbolizes ordinary people that are unquestioning and docile. She is perpetually subject to the power of Dog and Pig. But does the Sheep truly accept that? There is something sinister but attractive in black tires that makes them my favorite medium.
