Street Artists Sculpture

A drawing projected on to a background of collected garbage (arranged and secured on a large wooden panel). Inspired by a photograph taken in 2011 in Baseco, Philippines. The image depicts three children drawing images in the dirt with sticks, in the Baseco streets that are infested with garbage. Despite extreme poverty, creativity thrives. This piece intends to capture the physical reality of the situation as well as the beauty that is creativity's applicability to any given context. Creativity creates freedom, and here, three young artists explore and flourish together. They go beyond the slum.
