I saw this horse when Iwas traveling in Lithuania. She stood in a field not far from the road next to a tractor and looked very much like him. I took a few photos and then sculpted " Strong Horse" as an arhetype of the force of nature.

Alexander Litvinov
I studed sculpture at Tallinn Art Academy and I graduated from it in 1980. Until 1990 I worked in different styles: realism, constructivism, conceptualism, primarily using wood as my main material. Since 1990 have been engaged in creating mini-plasticity where animals have became favourite subject, and bronze as the primary material.Initially, I used a realistic approach focusing on anatomy, proportion, and movement. Later, my style evolved towards using symbols and archtypes. Animals became one of the ways to look at a human in an unusual side of it. I have participated in many animalistic festivals. Currently, animals remain a favorite subject in my work as a sculptor.
