SUBJECTIVE REALITY Sculpture

THE ACTUALITY: Nicolae is using the art of Absurd, to give senses difficult to get trough other methods. The absurd is a symptomatic manifestation for our days reality and for the crisis with its multiple faces: social, existential, politic, economic, cultural and communication. The Art of Absurd expresses some tendencies of abolition of national certitudes, of depreciation of authentic values, of imbalance on sensitivity field and may be considered as a symptom of Human’s and culture’s crises in contemporary society. The Absurd is in the pipeline dominant theme and offers to Nicolae abundant inspiration. The feeling about the absurd wars, absurd Human, absurd Universe became frequent. Our strange world is often hostile, lawless, missing set in order principles, and prestablished significances. Nicolae got the feeling of estrangement to the chaotic world. Harmful aspects are becoming more and more dominant in our contemporary society: cruelty, inhumanity, barbarism against Human, animals, Nature and reflect deep crisis of moral values in the modern society. The Human is missing soul, the Nature is missing the Human. By protecting the Nature, the whole Universe people will save their souls! Nicolae had oriented his attention to the aquatic world, in order to express the crises of relationships between the modern Human and the Nature: the organic world goes down and the mechanic comes up. THE ORIGINALITY of the project consists in the fusion of the amorphous, live beings world with minimalistic, geometrical metal world, keeping in the same time the visual and esthetic balance. Nicolae is “plaing” an “intuitive game” and connecting his “inner self” to the Universe, trying to find the “key” to open all the “cosmic folders” and to create new surrealistic works. The Absurd is originary typical for an art work, by creating events and personages which never exist. This make it habitual and unobserved. Nicolae goes forward, overriding usual “links” and using the Absurd as an artistic instrument, by creating figures, elements and situations which never exist and could not exist. The symbolism of elements and mysterious importance of things have a deep sense, symbolizing the tendency to make changes in society, the wish for total freedom in thinking and creation. The intuitive perception, on the subconscious level, combined with reality, brings Nicolae to create the absolute reality, the surreality. Nicolae is dreaming of another daily life’s reality, of the ideal world, without wars and aggression, where people open their full of love hearts and live in harmony with each other, with the Nature and whole Universe. WHY THE AQUATIC AND METAL WORLDS? The locomotive is a symbol of traveling, the train station has a vocation of city’s gate. The railway represents the symbol of modernism, evolution and dynamics of life. From his childhood Nicolae had seized the wonderful world of trains and travelling and had a dream to travel arround the world. Each trip he transformed into a magic adventure, with many new impressions, meetings with new people, new cityes, new countries, new stations... A whole composition associates structures from different worlds, with different plastic attitudes, where the elements of the composition, the brute matter infused with live spirit are not perceived as a contradiction. The visual balance is attended trough the harmonious fusion of the incompatibilities, the organic with technical, the merge of extraneous pictures, emplacement of real figures with unreal proportions.
