Michael was born in 1956, but as an artist he is still very young! The romance of distant wanderings, the search for adventure and fear of danger lead him to the fact that at the age of 21 he becomes perhaps one of the youngest sea navigators. But over time, the desire to bring up his children himself “grounds” him. School, college and university - 18 years of education! Highly educated and skilled engineer, he has always been drawn to creativity. But he couldn’t see being an artist a viable career option; he simply did not know how to do it! He has no art education, no events or renowned exhibitions. Hi is a self-taught artist. From childhood, he learned to handle tools. Woodwork is his life’s hobby. But nature takes its toll, and already at a considerable age he suddenly felt the need to return to working with his own hands and was formally initiated into his life as a sculptor. Now he says: “The only thing I regret is that since childhood I have not engaged my life with art! I have so many ideas that would be enough for two lifetimes!” His art concept is such that the viewer approaching the art piece should immediately catch the idea that the artist put into it, and only then turn on own imagination. In his works, he tries to avoid both abstract and figurative elements, but at the same time, he does not strive for a direct realistic replication of specific objects, leaving freedom for the imagination of the viewer.
