The Fine Line (Part 2). Sculpture

Is it possible to capture the emotional sensation we feel when we see a 'beautiful' car? What is it that makes a car 'beautiful'? My inspiration for these Artworks is the fine line between 'good design' and 'beauty'. No other object embodies these two concepts better than a Supercar. The polished finish to the cast bronze lends itself to exemplifying, both, the exquisite design of the cars aerodynamics, and the unapologetic beauty of its lines. Using many skills I have acquired from working at a fine art foundry, I cast this Artwork using the lost wax process. I began by making rubber moulds of separate pieces from a model car. I then made wax positives from the moulds and sculpted them together to make a complete car in wax. The wax was then vacuum invested. The finished cast bronze sculpture was then polished and lacquered. A labour intensive process, but I'm very satisfied with the end result. The car is approximately 1:24 scale (195mm in length) Limited to 3 editions and 2 AP's Please allow 6-8 weeks for production and shipping.
