This artwork is my way to portray Red, the color and the concept it represents. It was partly inspired by the vibrant fields of Red by Mark Rothko, existential zip lines of Barnett Newman and Piet Mondriaan geometric elements. Red abstract geometric shape here is supplemented here with some basic structures representing global fundamental concepts, with diagonal line referring to Piet Mondrian diamond paintings and reflecting the dualism and dichotomy; and vertical zip line - the core, stem of existence. I do enjoy exploring the impact of the pure color and minimalistic shape on our subconscious mind. Less details - the more concentrated is the effect. The sculpture is made of synthetic clay supported by metal wire armature on a plywood panel, covered with good quality pigment acrylics. The sides are painted. The hue is not represented on a computer/smartphone properly. The real hue is more of a vermillion hue on the sun, and slightly deeper red in the shadow. The hue of the paint varies depending on lightning. The original color is cadmium red light.

I do like exploring global and fundamental concepts of existence and their manifestation in our present being. I am inspired by philosophy, metaphysics, human history and culture. I'm also interested in our new way of reality such as the new digital reality and it's relation and interaction with our physical reality. The virtual reality is becoming more and more real and there is a parallel with Eastern philosophies' consept of Maya, the illusion of this world. I am fascinated with the idea of subconscious effect of the art and I like exploring the ways of the impact. As of now I tend to minimalistic forms of expression, reducing the artworks to basic shapes and colors. I am inspired by really different forms of art and culture of various styles and times. But as of now one of my major sources of inspiration is abstract art of the beginning of the 20th century - Kandinsky, Hilma af Klint, Malevich, Piet Mondriaan, Paul Klee, Franz Marc. And abstract expressionism artists - Mark Rothko, Barnett Newman, Cy Twombly, Lee Krasner.
