About The Artwork

The sculpture describes how we, as consumers, function. The significance of the material used, copper, highlights how even the expensive things can become 'trash' and obsolete as these new and fresher materials come by. This also shows how we waste too much resources just for our satisfaction - which by the way, will only span depending on how your trend of interest goes - thus destroying the environment - the world - we live in.

I am a Cebu-based artist who experiments on the mundane and the 'weird' side of art by delving into Dadaism and Found-object art. I have considered the Philippines as a playground where I introduce this art since the art scene here are more suited to traditional and more conservative methods. I choose to pursue Dadaism and Found-Object Art as a protest of this method. Also, as to inform people that art isn't only beautiful and 'retinal'.
