ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A few years ago I was at a zoo in Finland. And there peacocks absolutely freely walked! And of course they got it from children, especially toddlers, who enthusiastically ran after the poor birds. It was a lot of fun, beautiful, expressive, and when I returned home I sat down and began to make many, many sketches - the children were running, the peacocks were running and trying to fly up. It turned out badly, there was no balance, the composition did not add up. I'm very tired. Tired of catching these peacocks. And on one of the sketches, the boy caught a bird. Both composition and balance fell into place. The boy did not run anywhere - he stood, holding a bird with a long tail in his hands. I use white porcelain and make using hand sculpting techniques. The work is then fired in an electric kiln twice, the second time at a temperature of about 1080c. The work is decorated with underglaze painting. Porcelain works are lovely to hold – they have a great “feel” about them. This work is hand-built and totally unique. The work is suitable for interior locations. Any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I draw and sculpt during all my life, without these things I cannot imagine it. I admire the beauty of life, exactly people and animals, from the bottom of my heart. In my artworks I usually appeal to philosophical and eternal topics, that is close to most of all people. The topics like maternity, sport, and music, the life path is looking easy for the first time, but are relevant for thousands of years, and I show my point of view and plastic interpretation of them. The creation of a dialogue of classic themes and modernity also is one of my goals in art. I believe that the meaning of life is in creation, in careful and thoughtful observation of the world around us and unity with it. These feelings I often try to convey in my artworks. Sometimes my work has a story, personal deep experiences that are inextricably linked with my work. But at the same time, I believe that a personal reading of the work by the viewer, the impressions and sensations that he will receive, self-aware of what he sees is more valuable than reading any annotations. Plasticity of large forms and the feeling that the work elusively carries are the most important things in art, in my opinion. I want my works to be minimalistic in their shape, so I remove all unnecessary leaving the most important things. I also believe that beauty is in simplicity - the simplicity of shape and simplicity of meaning. I usually use natural materials, like marble, bronze, wood, metal. I feel that material helps me in my work and sometimes tells me the right way.
