## The burnt wood of Sant Hilari Sacalm: A tribute to the past with a modern touch **An artisanal legacy:** The burnt wood of Sant Hilari Sacalm was a woodworking technique that for more than 30 years turned this region into a benchmark in the country's wood industry. The technique consisted of creating wooden figures and utensils by burning them and then polishing them. **An art in decline:** Like many other artisanal practices, burnt wood has been relegated to the past. In tribute to the workers from all over Spain who arrived in the capital of Las Guilleries, a small series of figures made with wire and burnt wooden heads has been created. **A touch of postmodernity:** The particularity of this series lies in the use of recycled wood from old furniture that was destined for the municipal garbage. This reinterpretation of burnt wood with postmodern elements pays homage to the craft tradition while reflecting on its decline and the importance of historical memory. **Beyond nostalgia:** This work is not only a tribute to the artisans of the past, but also a call to reflection on the value of traditions and the need to preserve them. The reuse of recycled wood adds a touch of sustainability to the work, connecting with the concerns of the present. **In summary, the burnt wood of Sant Hilari Sacalm becomes a symbol of historical memory, traditional craftsmanship and artistic reinterpretation in the modern era. Attention: To send the piece, first the piece is wrapped with a thin layer of acid-free paper, then it is covered with bubble wrap so that the piece is highly protected. At the end of these two packaging processes, I build a box exclusively for the work, with a very thick cardboard capable of withstanding possible incidents in transport and that the work reaches your hands in perfect condition.

From the Streets to the Canvas: The Transformation of an Artist David León, known as .leon, is a visual artist whose journey is a testament to overcoming adversity and resilience. From his early beginnings in graffiti to his establishment as a sculptor and painter, his life has been a constant challenge that has shaped his unique artistic vision. A late diagnosis of dyslexia marked a turning point in David's life. Despite the difficulties he faced in school, he found solace and a means of self-expression in art. The walls of Barcelona became his first canvas, where he expressed his nonconformist spirit and his passion for free expression. Far from being a limitation, dyslexia has been a source of inspiration and a catalyst for David León's creativity. His difficulty in processing written language led him to develop a keen sensitivity to images and symbols. In his works, we find a rich symbolism that transcends words, inviting the viewer to a deeply personal visual and emotional experience. Visual thinking, characteristic of many people with dyslexia, is evident in David's work through bold compositions and a vibrant color palette. His sculptures, with their stylized figures and organic forms, seem to come alive, inviting the viewer to explore different perspectives. Experimentation and freedom are other key elements of DS.LEON's work. Not being constrained by the conventional norms of written language, the artist has been able to develop a unique and personal style characterized by spontaneity and intuition. His works are the result of an intense and passionate creative process where emotion and reason intertwine. Through his art, David León has not only overcome personal obstacles but has also managed to connect with a wide and diverse audience. His works are an invitation to reflect on the complexities of contemporary society and to find new ways of expressing ourselves. Ultimately, dyslexia has been a fundamental factor in the artistic development of David León. His personal experience has enriched his work, giving it a depth and originality that make him a unique artist in the contemporary art scene.
