ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The theme is inspired by the well-known character in universal literature, Don Quixote de la Mancia. It is a subject of the fantasy and creativity of the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. Since its appearance, in its first publication, the book in two volumes, written in 1605 and 1615, has dominated world literature, fascinating the reader with its strangeness. It is considered a masterpiece of world literature, being also considered the first modern novel. The sculpture is a small work made entirely by hand from cutting the material, sanding, assembling the parts and then painted with acrylic colors and varnish. The style of the work is a modern figurative, with anatomical elements and stylized clothes, which create through the movement, harmony and elegance of the characters, the compositional expression of the whole. The sculpture will be accompanied by the author's certificate of authenticity.
