Trail Sculpture

Description: Trail ( Jaam) is one of my last works that presented in the House of the Artists gallery for the first time in July 2008. It is made from similar stone that used in the Perspolis architecture. The sculpture shows a woman that her upper part of body deformed as a trail( Jaam)is the Persian equivalent for trail, but it also implies other meanings. One of them related to an old myth about Jamshids glass sphere that allowed him to see the future events. Jamshid is one of the main characters in the Ferdoosis (9351020) Shahnameh and based of the poem, he is the ancestor of all Persians. Then the glass sphere is there to imply the second meaning. In most of Persian poems, the Jaam (Trial) is the symbol of knowledge and wisdom
