About The Artwork
The human skull elicits a wide spectrum of emotion. As the title denotes, from life to death, the polar representations make the human skull unique. This has been displayed in my office since i have created it. It served not just as an object of visual artistry, the anatomical accuracy made it useful as a teaching tool in my medical/ surgical practice. Also, the mandible has a functional joint with the correct movement and articulation. The figure is a right half of the skull, larger than the actual human scale, and mounted on highly reflective black glass, optically creating the left half to artistically complete the image.
