This black and white abstract art object from the "Contrasts" series is created of merino wool using the wet felting method. Wool has endless possibilities as a material, and it is always interesting for me to discover it. Cozy, tactile objects made of wool will never break or disappoint.

About the Artist

Anilag Yukova

Germany

Art has accompanied me throughout my life.
I was destined and born to be a creative person in a creative family, and I have been engaged in art my whole life.
Over the years, my path has led me through many materials and techniques,
each leaving its mark on my hands and heart.
But for the past twenty years, one material has become my true language—wool.
It is a living, breathing substance: ancient yet ever new,
its potential still unfolding with every touch.

Today, as the age-old craft of felting is experiencing a renaissance,
I strive to weave a contemporary spirit into this tradition,
transforming wool into something both timeless and modern.

There is a meditative quiet in the act of felting—
a calming rhythm that words can hardly capture.
Through it, I have found not just a material, but a dialogue—
and I am honored to share that dialogue with you.

I live and create in Germany.
