About The Artwork
This work opens the series of sculptures named "Controlled chaos", where I used some part of the raw material which dries out and cracks in the making and may either ruin the whole thing or make it unique. Luckily, I had a good crack position in wood, right in the middle of the head. The sculpture is made of 5 detached elements, so there is an opportunity to ship our work worldwide.

I was born in Siberia in 1968. After graduation from the art school named after V.I. Surikov, the Russian famous painter, I started to work at an interior design studio. I made decorations for theaters, carved furniture, and small sculptures. I organized my own workshop with my colleague in 2007. The workshop is named "AB", which are the initials of our surnames. All our works have done together. I have been working with wood for about 30 years. This material helps me experiment with its structure and find a new way for expressing my ideas.
