About The Artwork

Piece from ongoing "Song of the South" series. This body of work uses characters from the "Tales of Uncle Remus" to explore issues related to racism, poverty, addiction, religion, lust, greed, abuse, and other potentially traumatic universal social themes from a Southern perspective. Here, Bre'r Rabbit is a meth tweak. This video was projected on a wall and paired with a live collaborative improvisation between myself and artist John Phillips. The piece, "Satan Desires to Have You", created a wall of sound that, with the projection, was a promised sensory overload. Sold as a dvd to project as you choose.
