Niki Kalopedi

She lives and works in Athens. She attended theoretical lessons and workshops about photography and cinematography in Greece and Italy. She is an amateur photographer for almost 20 years. Her photographs have been published in newspapers, magazines, books about photography (ex. K.Ioannidis, Contemporary Greek Photography, Figura editions, Athens, 2008, pp. 46-47). During 10 years, she creates "photo compositions", made digitally.

Niki Kalopedi studied Archeology- Art History in Belgium (Catholic University of Louvain- U.C.L) and Works of Art Conservation in Greece.

She has taken part in group exhibitions: "Crossing the eternity" (Sept.2001,Sofia-Air Traffic Services), "Potential Imprints" (Photosynkyria 2005-Thessaloniki, Greece), "Transformations" (Lodz, Poland-Fotofestiwal 2005), "ContACT#2 -Abnormal Cocreation" (Thessaloniki, 2010), "Ways of life" (Thessaloniki, 2010), "Athens" (Athens, 2012)...etc. She curated as art historian and participated as photographer in the group exhibition Stones Voice enlisted in Photosynkyria 2006 (Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki) and in Biennale of Amsterdam AP 2006 (Town Hall of Amstelveen). She has realised in 2007 two solo exhibitions in Thessaloniki, by the titles Shadowy Figures and Photo-bodies.
