I am a Brazilian-Dutch artist, living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I specialize in engravings; my work
was awarded both in the Netherlands and in Brazil, where I won the most prestigious Brazilian prize for engravings, the price of the Biennale of Curitiba.
My work was exhibited in Brazil, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia, the USA and Japan. Recent highlights were exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in Campinas, Brazil, and in Museum de Wieger in Deurne, the Netherlands.
What others say about me:
"The great expressive power and the unique lines in her engravings are the two elements that are mentioned in almost all articles about her work. This first element, the expressive power, is a direct result of the passion with which Lima Lego works. Playing with lines - unexpected, playful and very original – is the signature of Lego Lima."
"In the dramatic setting of her images one sees a life experience that is full of emotion and rich in symbolism ... Lego Lima is a remarkable representative of the youngest generation of graphic artists in our country"
