Luis Guillermo Fernandez Lovera, known as "lugufelo," is a celebrated sculptor who emigrated to the United States to escape political and social turmoil in his native Venezuela.

Lugufelo's work is characterized by its multidimensional style, which engages multiple senses and evolves over time, inviting viewers to continually reinterpret their observations. His unique style is informed by his use of geometric shapes, which he manipulates to capitalize on the tactile nature of his materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and wood. His sculptures also interact with natural elements, such as the sun and wind, which further amplify the sensory experience.

A student of kinetic design under the tutelage of Jesus Rafael Soto, lugufelo draws inspiration from other renowned artists such as Naum Gabo, Pablo Picasso, and Victor Vasarely. His installations can be scaled to enormous proportions and are suited to a variety of environments, from corporate entrances to local parks.

Despite the scale of his work, lugufelo also incorporates small, computer-generated components into his designs, creating a harmonious, integrated effect. When he's not creating art, he enjoys bicycling, walking, and practicing martial arts.
