About The Artwork
Beetles on Air is part of a series called "Automatic painting". It was inspired by a movement of french poets led by Louis Aragon and André Breton interested in surrealistic writing as well as dadaism. Breton considered that the barriers between our subjective and objective world should be destroyed giving birth to dreamlike atmospheres which can be disconcerting and nonsensical sometimes.
