About The Artwork

A series of artworks incorporating used disposable masks, surgical and FFP2. Everything seems to be so disposable that it is bordering on absurd. Masks are such a recognazible symbol of our pandemic times - something that protects and saves lives can be also seen as garbage, offence, obstacle, enemy, tools of oppression, stupid accessory, you name it. And it can certainly be a work of art.

Born in 1969 in a closed Siberian town formerly known as Tomsk-7, USSR. Moved to the Czech Republic in 1999, then on to Germany in 2001. Now living near Cologne with my husband and our youngest daughter. Art is my way of coping with everything that happens in and around me. It's been an interesting road.
