About The Artwork
This collage was created for a college class, and the grade was reduced for my having left it unfinished. I realized I like it better this way - you can't be sure whether the image is being constructed or deconstructed. As a metaphor for life, in which the two states often feel like the same thing.

Her work draws on cultural and literary symbols to illustrate personal history. She works primarily in two dimensions, incorporating collage or sculptural elements into pieces. A love of language can be seen in words of English, German, Hebrew, Japanese Kanji, or Spanish in many pieces. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art.
