“ The Turban Girl in the Age of Originality" Print

The image proposed is " The Turban Girl or The Girl with a Pearl Earring", came from the desire to highlight the femininity and the expressiveness of the work. The technique I chose to use is digital technique of collage. In the paper I inserted some picture of exotic plants and flowers. The idea from which I started was to highlight the femininity of the character through these elements of decoration. I have tried to identify this work with the term Appropriation Art. The work is done in Adobe Photoshop, format being 80x80cm, 300 dpi. The original work inspired me because of the light falling on the subject. It reminds me of the phenomenal paintings of Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn. The original work is done by the painter Jan Vermeer van Delft.
