About The Artwork

A cyborg is a being with both organic and biomechatronic body parts. An android is a humanoid robot or other artificial being often made from a flesh-like material. We would probably feel more comfortable in the presence of a cyborg than with an android. So let's assume that we are dealing with a cyborg here. The aesthetics of monochrome drawings of female cyborgs offer a captivating blend of technology and humanity. These artworks portray women with cybernetic enhancements, exuding a mysterious allure. The monochromatic palette emphasizes contrast and depth, adding an air of sophistication. The intricate details in their mechanical features coalesce with subtle human expressions, creating a mesmerizing fusion of the organic and artificial. Through these drawings, artists explore the duality of existence, inviting viewers to ponder the boundaries between human and machine. The monochrome style heightens the enigma, making these depictions of female cyborgs an engaging and thought-provoking exploration of futuristic beauty.

I am Luxembourg-born scientific illustrator and artist living in Hanover, Germany. For a couple of decades I was a copywriter for Honeywell Bull, Nokia and Siemens. Then I slowly slipped into computer graphics. I specialized in illustrating molecules and fullerenes for a long time. In 1988 I received a recognition of the Prix Ars Electronica for my graphic "Funnel". In 2023 I started doing AI illustrations. I live together with my partner Elke Leger, my favorite photo subject, and a turtle named George.
