"Mountains of Soundwaves" is a captivating digital artwork that merges the forces of nature and the transcendence of music. This piece invites viewers to explore the emotional journey of sound and its profound impact on the human experience. The journey begins with the meticulous selection of images of mountains and the sea from a variety of found materials. These selected images are then carefully cut by hand and thoughtfully arranged to create a visual composition, then the artist scans it into the digital realm, where a second phase of creativity takes place. Through digital techniques, the elements are transformed to form a dynamic silhouette, poised amidst the elements. The deliberate combination of different shades of blue from the mountains, sea, and sky, are inviting viewers to navigate the varying blues and experience a sense of disorientation. The cloud-like splatters within the composition mirror the tumultuous essence of emotions, poised to crash against the observer much like the unrelenting force of wind and waves. "Mountains of Soundwaves" is a visual exploration of the harmonious yet chaotic relationship between human emotion and the powerful influence of music and nature. It encourages viewers to reflect on the interplay between inner and outer worlds, where melodies and landscapes merge to create a unique experience.

Romeo Madonna (London, 1987) is a collage artist based in Florence where he currently lives and works. A self-taught visual artist, collage - both digital and analog - represents his favorite means of expression, the investigative method of his research and the synthesis of the philosophy underlying his artistic practice. A film student at the Roma Tre University with the aim of becoming a screenwriter, he attended the Accademia di Belle Arti because he was obsessed with engraving and printing techniques. His professional experiences in the field of mixology and luxury retail contributed significantly to defining the traits and themes of his artistic identity, fusing a digital approach with traditional techniques. Visions of time, beauty, identity and death are recurring themes in his works.
