About The Artwork

Derwent pencils, ink, and marker. Made in January 2018. Alive and unknown. I have an idea of a complex of statues about someone who lives in obscurity. I see it as a manifestation of the world, when a real person lived, suffered, loved, but was not visible as a personality to his usual number of people. The Emotions are expressed a time when hope seems to be absent, but it never dies. Waiting, sadness, dream, here and now, plus the past, the future is unknown, but presumed. The figure below shows a bench. It could be made of stone or metal, bronze. The wave is glass, frozen water, development is going on, but it is forced to make its way through a pile of metal or concrete. The gear should be made of metal alloy, the color is similar to gold. Several benches. On top of the picture are located the statues of glass, metal, and stone-concrete. Some of them are transparent, some are solid, the colors are partially hushed, and some are bright. The statues are located on a round platform with glass and stone inlay. Backlight.

Painting for me is a flexible medium in which I can move depending on the subject or the mood. I like changing and mixing media. My pictures usually have a gold accent. The paintings are done in many layers that make up the picture subjects visible deeper than the outer surface. The object of the painting is a real modern life that could be concentrating on expressing the emotional responses to the world through tradition or symbolical images. Working in watercolor, acrylic paints, pastels, pencils and ink I use rich tones to give my paintings physical presence. In the paintings natural and people made lights: sunlight, moonlight, streetlights and bright headlights of passing by cars and bicycles transform the usual notions of realism into the form which reflected a complex of lights and sounds that often miss when working in an artist studio. I was studying painting, drawing, and craft in art and craft studio in my childhood.
