In 2018 I started a project to write a science outreach book on classical and modern physics. In 2021, the book "From Balloons to Cathode Rays" was released with 21 illustrations. The first drawing in the book illustrates Archimedes' principle, which explains why bodies made of materials denser than water can float. The balloon is also an example of the Archimedes principle, as it is subject to an upward force due to the displacement of air because of its volume. This drawing shows an example of the action of the buoyancy force, capable of making them change position according to changes in their densities. The technique used in the drawing was watercolor on paper.
