I've always loved moths. They're the underdogs of the butterfly universe. They're so grand and beautiful and underappreciated only because of the superstitions around them. Little do people know that moths are also a symbol of revival, rejuvenation and rebirth. I began drawing this atlas moth when I was feeling a creative block. I wanted to commit to something big and beautiful, and every time I feel stuck in my life, I draw bugs. This time, I was really stuck, so I took on this massive work of art that took me over a week to stipple. The detailing is something I'm very proud of, and even though it's only A4 in size, it's one of my favorite pieces I have worked on so far.
