Life is but a Dream Print

This work was done on primed paper with gesso to allow easier flow of oil stick medium on paper. I choose to advance my drawing skills with the study of life drawing. This particular piece was done with a long pose model sitting for around 30 min. I enjoy the playful qualities of oil sticks in the life drawing setting to get a unique texture of the drawing. This work is sealed with a coat of clear glaze to protect the drawing. My art consists of different mediums and subjects, but what remains is the idea of painting spontaneously without fear or judgment. The ranges of my work include: life drawing or figure drawing, Chinese brush painting, intuitive painting, Fine art photography, portrait and wedding photography. This includes the use of a variety of mediums such as pastel, oil sticks, acrylic paint, sumie style inks and water color techniques.
