About The Artwork

A close up study of the facial features of a man confined within the box constraints of the rag paper. Not framed. Exploring using ink with scribbles rather than key lines normally used in pen and ink drawings. The paper had a beautiful roughness to it as does the ink. The works were not inspired by any other artist. I wanted a gritty strong powerful drawing that I hope the viewer wants to look closer.
