About The Artwork
Original mixed media drawing 'Prague Fading into the Distance'. It's an exceptionally realistic and detailed architecture drawing of city rooftops seen from birds eye view made in pen and pencil. It does justice to the beautiful city of Prague and shows great attention to its architectural detail and building proportions. I think it also catches character of the place very well. I've added the hills in the background and the trees at the front for the composition to seem more closed. There weren't any in a refrence picture I've used. The lighting and many different shades of grey give the drawing a misty look. fine pen: 0.1-0.5 mm pencils range: B-4B on thick white paper without texture about 40 hours of drawing

My name is Kate. I am an artist, teacher and architect from Poland. Art charmed me for the first time when I was 4 years old. Once I started to draw, I never stopped. I love teachning as much as creating – I feel complete when I’m using all of my talents at once. My most favorite techniques are pencil and watercolor. However, the technique has secondary importance, when I have the opportunity to draw one of my favorite subjects - fantasy, landscapes or human figure.
