About The Artwork

Being stylish is a lot of work it always feels as though I am a prisoner to style. Its never ending always another collection an new designer another fashion show. It is more than a job or lifestyle. I have been graced with the friendships of many talented fashion photographers, models, designers, makeup artists and hairstylists who shared their fashion moments with me. Snap Shot gives me opportunity to share these special moments with you. These photographs spotlight my designs in the fashion and art industry. It has been my extreme privilege to have attended art classes at Manhattans’ Art Student League on the upper East Side, as well as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Academy of Design and Cooper Union. All these were opportunities were provided on talent based scholarships. While attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, at age 18 with a very limited budget, I launched the line of Baby Doll Sugar Daddy Rock Star Apparel. I hand-created my designs in New York City. Each one was a unique, one of a kind original. During that time I was able to own and operated three clothing boutiques. I worked hard around the clock, balancing work and school but when the tragedy of 9/11 hit - I lost my boutiques. I fell ill myself from the poisonous dust that encompassed the city. It took me almost two years to recover and forced me to have to move from Nyc to Miami otherwise doctors advised I would die. After I recovered I returned to New York City but it had become extremely difficult for aspiring American fashion designers. This change was due to the fashion industry having moved apparel and accessory production to China and more recently India. Therefore, I am thankful for all the creative opportunities offered me and the recognition for my talent and my art. I have been lucky enough to have worked as a designer, model, fashion commentator, fashion expert, fashion host, fashion columnist, actor, stylist, boutique owner, business promoter for my entrepreneurial ventures. Producer of and modeled in over 50 of my fashion shows presented in New York city fashion week, Miami fashion week, scottsdale Arizona fashion weekend and Saint louis fashion weekend. I have also worked as a Jewelry designer, Interior designer of my 3 boutiques, Art curator for and interior designer of theTownhouse Art Gallery, located near the Barclay Center. Actually, I am the youngest female designer and model to have presented during New York city Fashion week. One of my most exciting achievements was being signed with IKON Models in their celebrity artist division. To this day, I continue to aspire and dream and create. This art helps me to chronicle and record fashion events in my life. Hope you enjoy my book as much as I do. Its exciting to be apart of this world. Its exciting fast paced life. Thank you.
