Inspired by photographs of my friend I started a series of portraits using ink and calligraphy pen in technique devised by me particularity for this series called "In the labyrinth of the face". I was contemplating on the idea of women beauty, and where it resides. In this process I got in a labyrinth of questions and answers and started drawing lines over the faces making a maze like structure that looking from a far gives an impression of a portrait but looking up close becomes an abstraction. This should represent that the beauty is question of perspective and that everyone has its own vision of it. I started working in black and white, using only ink but later started introducing color and other materials such as tempera, watercolor and other mediums. These works have been showed in numerous galleries in Serbia and last year they were on a show in Amsterdam. Now they are on a sale.
