Experiencing heartbreak, betrayal, abandonment, and sexual assault can be an incredibly difficult experience. It can leave one feeling lost and alone almost empty. However, through all the pain and tears, something beautiful can be found - inspiration. For me, creating this piece became the outlet for my pain. Painting, drawing, and writing were all the mediums that allowed me to pour my heart out onto the canvas. I found solace in the art on tarot cards such as the “Three of Swords” and “Five of Pentacles” which heavily inspired the symbolism through this piece, I was able to transform my heartbreak, betrayal, and abandonment into something beautiful. Each stroke of the brush, each letter on the canvas, was an emotional release. Even though the scars will always remain, “3oS” is what I was left with. It's a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is still beauty to be found. Art can connect us to our deepest emotions - the pain of heartbreak, betrayal, and abandonment. Through my own experiences, I have found that creating art is a way to visualize and express those emotions in a way that words cannot. My hope is that my art can serve as a bridge between the viewer and those difficult feelings. By using shade, texture, and composition, I aim to evoke a sense of empathy and understanding in the viewer. I want them to feel as though they are not alone in their pain, that someone else has felt those same emotions and has found a way to transform them into something beautiful. It is my belief that by connecting with these feelings allow us to process them and thus, heal.
