Nathalie Ayesha Tappin, or NAT, is the painter of NAT art. After being born in Barbados and toddling in Seattle Nathalie grew up in Rotterdam, where her mother kept a gallery. This exposed her to Arts from the age of five and onwards. Influences of the artist she encountered can still be found in her own work. During and after her Creative Communication studies in Rotterdam she enjoyed thinking in creative concepts but still wanted to get her hands dirty. So she went on to complete the orientation Year at the Rietveld, Amsterdam, where she further developed her own painting and design style. Some signatures of Nathalie Tappin qualities are: her unexpected use of and edgy urban look and the use of simple flowing lines with occasional burst of colours. Her paintings have been exhibited in several Amsterdam galleries and are being picked up internationally.
