About The Artwork
This is a portrait of a rose I raised in my garden. I noticed her one evening at sunset whit the sunlight making her stand out from the darkness behind her. I took her photograph and used that to paint her in digital oils and enhanced the lighting to more of a Rembrant style. I use digital painting as the work is mostly the same with brushstroke and medium reacting the same. Plus I work from photographs a lot.
