About The Artwork
I used an intuitive process with grabbing papers and tearing them and placing them on the page. It represents my life of being moved around so much and it being a bit chaotic. I chose to out a woman’s portrait on top as a way to show that everyone has a story and past pain or even trauma. And the girl next door has a story that you may not ever know. This is a part of a series I did to highlight human trafficking. It’s happening in our city’s and our schools. I hope to invite the viewer to reflect on their past and see how strong they are and how they beat the odds.
