Chief Sitting Bull was one of the last of the native americans to surrender to the government of the United States of America. He was a great leader that struggled with the concepts of peace and war as he watched his home and his people fade into the pages of history. This archive photograph of him has been digitally manipulated and encoded with his words... "The earth has received the embrace of the sun and we shall see the results of that love. He put in your heart certain wishes and plans; in my heart, he put different desires." This is one of several pieces in a series titled 'In a Tin Fed System' which is actually an anagram for 'Manifest Destiny.'
