About The Artwork

'Every normal human being (and not merely the 'artist') has an inexhaustible store of buried images in his subconscious, it is merely a matter of courage or liberating procedures ... of voyages into the unconscious, to bring pure and unadulterated found objects to light.' - Max Ernst Work completed post-Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2019. See my creative process on BBC2 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition documentary. Philosophical approach informed by the Dadaists and Surrealists, an existential form of art using found and often decaying objects the work gives new life and creates unique new works of art.

Mixed media/digital artist based in Yorkshire Dales, shortlisted and selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2013 and 2019, see my work on the BBC2 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition documentary, June 2019. He has returned to his love for visual art and his deep interest in the Dadaists and Surrealists to whom his work makes unconscious reference and which has subsequently informed his philosophical approach. An existential form of art, making contemporary reference to some of the experimental techniques of avant-garde artists such as Man Ray (eg. found objects) and the philosophical underpinnings of the Dadaists and Surrealists. Using found and often decaying objects the work gives new life and creates unique new works of art.
