About The Artwork

Is there a friend that sticks closer than a brother? Yes there is. This is my poem describing a friend who sticks by your side forever. The photograph was shot by me in the South Pacific country of Tonga, and I hope it stirs your heart and is a source of encouragment. Thankyou and malo auptio!

The best way I can define what I do is that it is intuitively creative, prophetic at times and draws parallels between individuals and their myriad experiences/ characteristics using design as well as animate themes. My artworks echo with motifs drawn from personal travels, experiences and observations; and are interwoven with messages of Hope, Love, Courage and Restoration on one hand, and challenging questions about sustainability on the other. I am currently the only artist in India, with a series of sustainable paintings on indigenous Mulberry Bark-Cloth using 100% natural Mangrove root ink, which was introduced to the Indian market at the Mumbai Art Fair in October 2018.Since the age of 23, my desire was to imbibe the confluence of cultures that are in India, and this was fulfilled in 2005 when I finally made it here. I currently reside in Mumbai, India with my wife Shubhra. A significant art exhibition that I was honoured to be a part of was “Mukta – Free, Healthy, Secure” – in March, 2013 organised by the state government and held at the Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi, India.  This exhibition highlighted the barriers that cripple the Health and Development of women in India. My vision and dream are to use the gifting I have been blessed with to communicate GOD’s love to the hurting and rejected; as I myself have experienced these. It is only love – the love of my late mother and the unconditional love of GOD that gave me the support and encouragement I needed. As someone who spent most of my former years treated as a "discard", the one thing that I have learnt is that the love of GOD conquers all.
