Czech artist who is living in Canada, exhibits his works in the hope that his colourful ,evocative style will appeal to art lovers. Born in 1962 to parents who admired his early skills in drawing as 3 years old. He studied Fine Art college " Application of techniques in Architecture " and also painting,graphics,drawing,design,mosaics,glass painting,sgraffito,fresco,alseco. Educated in Uherske Hradiste near the city of Brno. After studies and compulsory stint in the army,he found employment as a decorator and set designer in the theatre world.Many of his first paintings were,in fact,exposed in theatre public showrooms as well as private lounges. At the age of 23 He left his native country and established brief residences in Yugoslavia and Austria.A memorable six month period was spent painting local life in Vienna. He moved to Montreal in 1985 and has since pursued the formal studies of languages,never ,however abandoning his first love - painting !In 1987,He was awarded the Jury's Special Prize by Quebec's Minister of culture at the prestigious " Quebec - my new country "competition . At present ,He is working exclusively in encaustic painting ,a process where coloured beeswax by oils is applied onto support and fixed by heat . His principal artistic objective is to visually represent strong subjective emotions .
