About The Artwork
This painting holds a special place in my heart. Delicately crafted with a palette knife, the painting is 12 by 16 inches in size. Like always, the vigor, courage, and luxuriance that green life carries have been my inspiration for this one too. It seems to know and know it all. This majestic veteran evergreen chap spent countless years enduring hardships, witnessing happy moments and sad endings, allowing naughty offspring to swing its branches, and just being there standing tall, wise, and proud. As quoted from Tree story, “trees remember. They record history and they don’t lie.” I used numerous shades of green to show value and depth to the piece of artwork. While bringing my strokes forward I couldn’t help myself wondering, nevertheless in which direction the branch grows, the roots remain one. Just like a family.
