About The Artwork

Winter scene on a gloomy day. This minimalistic abstract landscape was created after my visit to Siberia this winter. Lack of colors and grey sky sadness is balanced by glimpses of gold trough textured black and white layers, cause we all need a glimpse of hope even in the darkest time. The 45x35 canvas is painted over the edges and can be hung without frame. Will be sent carefully packed with protective materials.

Born and raised in Siberia Tasha Ozkul has spent half of her life in Turkey, where she is currently living. While always interested in arts she studied languages at the university. But after few years she came to an understanding that the universal, the ultimate language is Art and chose painting as her main professional activity. Both nature and the supernatural, mystical side of being are great sources of inspiration to the artist. Creating artworks on a regular basis is her way of interpreting and sharing the existential and spiritual experience with the world as well as opening the floor to the viewer's own interpretation. She enjoys mixing and exploring new materials while her main mediums are acrylics and texture. She choose vivid colors for abstract acrylic works to celebrate the life whatever the challenges it is taking us through right now. As for the textured works she prefers monochrome palette nuanced with metallic shine so nothing can distract the viewer from being absorbed into the deepness of the 3D structure.
