About The Artwork

It's actually an intervention on a billboard. I cut a portion, I painted it at a minimal level and found that there's no need to add anything extra. That already says something. The ambiguity that is obtained shouldn't be more decrypted. I like this immersion in the light. The melting of shapes, their fusion, their overlap. It's a good metaphor of the relationship between the two characters: A vertical one on the left and a horizontal one, overlaying the first. It seems to be a female character. It has one hand before her face supporting her forehead. She's obviously thinking. Of course, she is sad. There are glimpses of misty, frugal, quick thoughts. It's a superposition of plans: Because in the mind, thoughts are not spaced, but intertwined. These presences are vague. Like dreams. The work is done on soft media and will be sent rolled into a tube. It would be advisable to use a minimalist frame, preferable in white.

I am an artist who deals with the theme of emotions in achromatic or monochrome images, in styles such as abstract expressionism, Impressionism, realism, minimalism and others. The human figure, realistic or transformed, the objects of nature or those invented, all have symbolic value for these states. The lack of color requires a radical asceticism, an austere simplicity in an exuberant sensory world. A reduction in noise, waste of color and easy anecdotes, which invite to meditation and re-examination of the world around us. The sublimation of subtones and valuing insignificant details and undesirable objects, but which are linked to the forgotten essential, all creates a world upside down, that questions. Pointing to values such as compassion and empathy which pay attention to the misery of the world, its sadness, its loneliness, the dumbing of the voice, the lack of freedom and so on.
