“Anónimas sumergidas” es la continuación de mi proyecto "Elementales·, donde se aunaba la mujer con Los Cuatro Elementos de la Antigüedad Clásica. En "Anónimas sumergidas" el propósito es seguir con la idea de los elementos, pero ahora suprimiendo gran parte del protagonismo a la persona retratada, quedando en muchas ocasiones anónima. donde el elemento común agua es el que tiene mayor interés. Las modelos, pueden aparecer de dos formas representadas. En unas ocasiones será captada con la cara totalmente sumergida, viéndola el espectador desde la superficie. Y en otra ocasión, su cara permanecerá en la superficie, siendo en este caso el espectador el que se encuentra sumergido, de manera que tampoco podrá reconocer su rostro.

Rosana Sitcha was born in Cartagena (south-east of Spain), on 8th January 1981. She was awarded a degree in Fine Arts by San Carlos Faculty, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2005. She is specialised in drawing and painting. She has done some courses with prestigious painters such as Antonio López, Eloy Morales and Cristobal Gabarrón. She has worked as a painter since she finished her degree, focusing her work on urban landscape and female portrait, both represented from a very personal perspective. Her work has been exhibited in numerous art galleries of Spain. So far, she has taken part in 20 individual exhibitions in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Oviedo, Murcia and Cartagena. She has also participated in more than 200 collective exhibitions, including selections, awards and national and international fairs. Since 2005, she has been awarded several national and international prizes, 25 in total. Furthermore, some of her pieces of work are in different collections that belong to city councils, county councils and museums.
