About The Artwork

'Are Trees truly the most superior species on this planet? (Expect Answers Series)': Marsh landscape study, plein air. Oil on linden plywood. Created in 2010, revisited in January 2015. Additionally signed on the back. Varnished with a satin matt finish. The open area on the right is part of the artwork. Oh yes, the answer: No, they only think they are the most superior species on this planet because they possess free will. But actually we don't know exactly. The work can be framed to hang. I personally use small works like this one to decorate my bookshelves. They are leaned freely against the books or the wall.

I live and work in Northern Germany. To create my works, I draw and I paint. I am fascinated by the forces, movements and rhythms which connect us human beings with nature - they deliver the energy for my work. For me, the most important content of an individual work is the energetic and emotional field it creates. For my drawings charcoal is most important for me, because of its archaic and basic power and because of its tenderness. To paint I use mainly oil colors, also I use tempera with classical natural pigments. On Saatchi Art I present a selection of my works.
