About The Artwork
I wanted to convey a sense of movement with the watercolour and at the same time include some detailed drawing. Hence a mixed-media artwork using watercolour paint and detailed pencil. I am inspired by watching ballerinas dance on stage and like to be able to communicate this in 2 dimensions on paper.

I was born in Bristol in the UK and now live in Sussex. I have been drawing ballet dancers since I was a child. I took ballet classes as a child and developed a love of the dance form. From this experience, I am familiar with the movement and poses and try to get this across in my drawings and paintings. The subject matter is mainly ballet as I find this inspiring, but I also paint scenic views and love a beautiful sunset!
