About The Artwork
This is a painting of a ballerina in which I wanted to convey the motion as she twirls and dances. Her clothing is painted with a light wash of pink with an overlay of spray to convey the motion. The ballerina is drawn in pencil to show a contrast between the color and the grey of the pencil. I hope you can feel her beauty and enjoy the color!

I was born in Bristol in the UK and now live in Sussex. I have been drawing ballet dancers since I was a child. I took ballet classes as a child and developed a love of the dance form. From this experience, I am familiar with the movement and poses and try to get this across in my drawings and paintings. The subject matter is mainly ballet as I find this inspiring, but I also paint scenic views and love a beautiful sunset!
